Boston Marathon Blasts: Harvard Crimson Posts Running List of ‘Harvard Affiliates’ Confirmed OK

In the immediate aftermath of this afternoon’s Boston Marathon blasts, The Harvard Crimson launched a public list of individuals affiliated with Harvard University and present at today’s race who have been confirmed safe.

The running list of students, alumni, faculty, and staff includes people’s names and class years or other basic ties to the university, built atop information apparently obtained by both the paper and the public.  It currently contains more than 80 names.

As editors note at the top of the list, “As you hear updates from friends, professors, staff, and other Harvard affiliates who were at the Boston Marathon at the time of the explosions, please email The Crimson at news@thecrimson.com.”  One commenter sporting the handle gratefulalum@gmail.com writes beneath the names: “Thank you Crimson, you are a first class organization.”
